About this job:
Broad responsibility for leading a team of managers to execute against the overall business plan, based on guidance from leadership. Directs, plans and oversees team initiatives, to ensure implementation and administration of programs align with district goals.
This role oversees a team that provides critical support to stakeholders across the district via operations and enrollment analytics, transcript and academic policy support, accountability (SPF) reporting and analysis, and surveys. The Director outlines a strategy for the department and ensures that the team produces high-quality, actionable analytics and resources that support district and school leadership in maintaining compliance and meeting the district’s goals.
**The Director must demonstrate a willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement. This role requires maintaining the highest level of confidentiality regarding all District matters, especially those involving the Superintendent, Chief of Staff, and the Board of Education. Ensuring trust and discretion is paramount to the success and integrity of this position.

What You'll Do:

Supervises a team that provides analytic support to the Office of Operations and other key stakeholders, ensuring that all products made answer the questions and needs posed. Ensures that the team is not only providing high quality analysis, but is also making critical and timely recommendations on process and system improvements in service of creating school environments where every student thrives

Manages the creation of results output (e.g., reports, spreadsheets, dashboards, etc.) and other resources that meet stakeholder needs and support users in implementing and improving critical operations and processes. Trains Operations teams and other stakeholders on how to use provided materials and checks in over time to ensure continued usage and address issues

Oversees the accountability and transcripts work, ensuring that schools are being provided timely and correct support. Liaises with stakeholders to troubleshoot academic policy issues and develop new policy

Guides the district-wide survey strategy and ensures that all major initiatives are executed in a timely manner and responsive to stakeholder needs

Develop and maintain project plans to track progress on key milestones, reprioritizes work based on evolving stakeholder needs, and identifies and implements efficiency improvements in team processes. Works with stakeholders to innovate, provide new services, and improve their teams’ data culture

Supports direct reports in their responsibilities and the management of their teams, provides leadership and oversight, and is responsible for their continued professional development and growth

Creates and fosters a cohesive, collaborative, and motivating team culture and ensures the same for all sub-teams

Effectively builds strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization to provide appropriate analytic support and evaluate programs

Regularly presents findings to district leaders and facilitates conversations with stakeholders on how to improve processes given data findings
What You’ll Need:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related area (e.g., sociology, statistics, psychology, economics, policy).

5+ years of experience in data analysis, statistics, operations analytics, policy analysis, dashboard creation

3+ years of people management or supervisory experience

Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations

Experience in analyzing data, and using this data to for process and program improvements and to inform strategy

Outstanding facilitation and communication skills, including ability to inspire others

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to lead a high-performing team

Superior leadership, coaching and mentoring skills

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals at all different levels in the organization

Experience in K-12 education

Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides.

Proficiency with statistical analysis coding languages/software (e.g., R, SQL, SAS, SPSS, STATA, Python, etc.)
