Western Slope Colorado

Carolyn Terrell, ACC Regional Project Manager Western Slope

The purpose of the ACC Small Business Initiative on the Western Slope of Colorado is to identify and engage with regional Small Business Resources (i.e., Chambers of Commerce, US Small Business Administration offices, Small Business Development Centers, Elected Officials, etc.) Provide list of such to Project Executive Director for approval as credible and appropriate resources.

“I have actively identified and engaged with diverse regional resources to promote Asian Chamber (ACC) initiatives. Key highlights include:

  • Public & Government Relations: Established connections with the Colorado Attorney General’s office, Congressman Greg Lopez, and City Council members across Colorado Springs, Commerce City, and Boulder.
  • Small Business & Infrastructure: Maintained active partnerships with CDOT/Connect2DOT, Denver International Airport, and multiple SBDC offices (Larimer, Grand Junction, Boulder, and Denver Metro).
  • AANHPI Community Support: Recruited resources and presented for the Angat Business Plan Training Program. Conducted outreach at Mesa State University and collaborated with local business leaders like Jerome Gonzales (JGMS) to map the AANHPI small business landscape.
  • Community Leadership: Served as a Board Member for the Chinese Asian American Professionals Association, Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame, and the Montbello Organizing Committee.

I am most proud of successfully expanding the ACC brand footprint and membership value. Over the past year, I have demonstrated a "win-in" attitude dedicated to the Chamber’s goals.

By providing local resources and procurement information directly to members, I have helped foster tangible business growth and collaborative opportunities within the community.”
